History

May 1956 Matsuda Shoten (foodstuff) established in Nakano-ku, Tokyo to sell albumens.
May 1957 Matsuda Shoten (precious metals) established in Nerima-ku, Tokyo to refine and sell metals.
Apr 1961 Matsuda Shoten Co., Ltd., Executive Director Hiroshi Matsuda takes office.
May 1964 Matsuda Shoten (foodstuff) changes its name to Matsuda Sangyo.
Dec 1971 Musashi plant established in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture to refine precious metals.
Apr 1973 Matsuda Shoten (precious metals) changes its name to Matsuda Metal Industry.
Sep 1978 Matsuda Precious Metal Industry established for the precious metals recycling business.
Oct 1981 Head Office functions for the companies in the group moves to Tokyo, Shinjuku-ku.
Mar 1986 Iruma factory established in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture to handle the pre-processing for precious metals refining.
Feb 1987 NIPPON MICROMETAL CORPORATION established as a joint venture with Nippon Steel Corporation.
Nov 1990 MATSUDA RYUTSU Co.,Ltd. established as a delivery contractor for the group companies.
Jul 1992 Matsuda Sangyo, Matsuda Metal Industry, and other companies merged into Matsuda Precious Metals Industry and the name of the resulting company changed to Matsuda Sangyo.
Jul 1992 Matsuda palladium bullions are registered as a delivery supply product by the Tokyo Industrial Products Exchange, Currently known as the Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
Nov 1992 Singapore office opened
May 1993 Matsuda gold, silver, and platinum bullions are registered as a delivery supply products by the Tokyo Industrial Products Exchange. (Tokyo Commodity Exchange)
Jan 1995 Matsuda platinum bullions and palladium bullions are recognized as specified brands by the London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM).
Aug 1995 Over-the-counter share registration
Jan 1997 JAPAN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY Co.,Ltd. established to collect
precious metal scraps from the dental industry as a target.
Mar 1997 The all shares of HOKKAIDO AOKI KAGAKU Co.,Ltd. are acquired to create a base of industrial waste-related business in Hokkaido.
Jul 1997 MATSUDA ECOLOGY Co.,Ltd. established to split off the business of industrial waste collection, delivery and treatment from MATSUDA RYUTSU Co.,Ltd.
Dec 1998 Z.E.R.O. JAPAN, an industrial waste product recycling company, is established as a joint venture with ALD of Germany.
Oct 1999 Musashi factory and Iruma factory both acquire the ISO14001 certification.
Dec 1999 Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
Jan 2000 Matsuda gold bullions and silver bullions are registered with the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) as delivery supply products.
Oct 2000 Matsuda Sangyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. established in Thailand for the precious metal business.
Sep 2001 Designated on First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
Aug 2002 R&D center built in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture
Feb 2003 Matsuda Sangyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. built a new factory in Bangkok for the purpose of pre-processing precious metals for smelting.
Feb 2004 Matsuda Sangyo (Philippines) Corporation established in Philippines for the precious metal business
Feb 2005 Matsuda Sangyo (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. established in Singapore for the precious metal business
Mar 2006 The Environmental Division acquires the ISO14001 Certification.
The Product Division (Precise Cleaning Section and Chemical Products Section) and the offices and plants under the Precious Metal Division acquire the ISO9001 Certifications.
Apr 2007 Matsuda Resource Recycling (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. established in China for the precious metal business
Jul 2007 Qingdao Office established in China for the food business
Jun 2009 Matsuda Sangyo (Malaysia) Sdn. Bnd. established in Malaysia to expand the precious metal-related business
Jun 2009 Sayama Business Operation Center established in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, to enhance the collection and transportation of industrial waste and the handling of small amounts of waste fluid
Nov 2011 Taiwan Branch established in Taiwan for the precious metal business.
Jun 2012 Matsuda Sangyo Trading (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. established in China for the food business.
Jan 2013 Matsuda Sangyo Trading (Thailand) Co., Ltd. established in Thailand for the food business.
Jan 2014 Musashi No.3 factory built in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture.
Mar 2014 Matsuda Sangyo(Vietnam)Co., Ltd. established in Vietnam to expand the precious metal-related business.
Feb 2016 The all shares of Gluf Foods Co.,Ltd. , a trading company specialized in foodstuff is acquired.
